Some have asked me why come to Bristol to plant a new church? Several years ago I felt the Lord call me to return to the country of my birth—England. I had immigrated with my parents to South Africa as a child, where I grew up, got saved and then served the Lord as a missionary. When praying further about the Word of the Lord, as a family we decided to make an exploratory trip to the UK in the 2010 and Bristol was the city we fell in love with. Historically Bristol has been a key city in major moves of God such as the Great Awakening with George Whitefield and John Wesley. Bristol has a great heritage in works of faith and God’s Kingdom, but what inspires me the most is Bristol’s prophetic destiny. We believe God is already pouring out His Spirit in the city but wants to increase that momentum and measure to reach levels of city-wide and nation-wide awakening. 2019 is a strategic year for the UK. The fields are ripe unto harvest. Churches must get ready for what God is about to do. We’re delighted to be in Bristol to be a part of all that the Lord has in mind.
